  • Beauty Products of the Moment

As a broke girl in my early twenties, I do love a good multi-tasking product. I also love taking good care of myself, so when hunting for my next fave thing I keep a reasonable (not cheap) price point in mind. My mom taught me to never buy drugstore brand skin care, and the few times I have I've regretted it. You really get what you pay for, and investing in the better product will reap more benefits for you in the longrun.

There are three products I am loving lately. They are my 2014 game changers. Let me tell you all about them so you can go buy and become addicted too:

    1. Earth tu Face - EYE/REPAIR SERUM   Anti-Aging+Restorative / Sea Buckthorn+Geranium

This stuff is magic. And it smells like a heavenly garden. It comes in a small package, but packs a large punch! You only need a tiny amount of this powerful potion to see a difference in your skin.

I first discovered it at Beverly HIlls salon Olive & June, where they use it as a cuticle oil in their Margot (organic) mani+pedi. And to be honest, I use it primarily as cuticle oil. Weird, right?

Just two drops covers both hands. Once you've divied out the serum, it's important to rub it in to each cuticle. This promotes circulation, will increase absorption, and make your nails look fabulous! Yes, I mean natural nails. Seriously, my nails after only a few uses were stronger and longer.

If you're keeping this product to yourself, it will really last. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

    2. Dr. Jart - Ceramidin Cream

This is the one product I give credit to for making my skin look dewy and glowy through the one week I should have looked my worst: New York Fashion Week. It was February, it was freezing, I was catching colds and gross sickness from the models. My skin was sad.

Luckily, I was working backstage at Opening Ceremony and Dr. Jart was one of the sponsors. I got hooked up with some Ceramidin Cream and got that right on my face. Immediately moisturizing. The next morning: still fully moisturized? YES.

Multi-tasking tip: use this on drying knuckles, cracking heels, elbows and cuticles.

Four important facts about this miracle cream that sets it apart:

-It is allergy tested and safe for sensitive skin (yay, that's me!)
-It is hypo-allergenic; medical tests deem it safe for infant use
-Ceramide enhances skin's protective barrier to protect against external stimulation
    -26 hour lasting moisture

I'm liking what I see with this one, so I think it's going to become a staple on my beauty shelf.

    price: $48

    3. Dr. Lipp - Original Nipple Balm for Lips

I was not only weirded out, but skeptical of this one at first. Nipple balm? Won't that be too much like a thick salve on my lips? Ew.

But no, it is indeed a great product that I need to order more of. You need such a small amount to moisturize lips, and it doesn't feel thick or overdone. It's unscented and has natural ingredients, so natural-ly I love it! I apply right before bed, and my lips aren't all dry and cracked when I wake up. Vaseline was my go-to for a while, but I would wake up with vaseline smeared all over my upper lip and chin. Attractive, I know.

Multi-tasking tip: good for use on sunburns, cuticles, split ends, and diaper rash (if you're a mom)

Also, I was on a photoshoot with Robin Black of Beauty is Boring (beautyisboring.com) and she whipped this out of her purse and used it. So if the makeup pro is using it, it's real cool.

I can't wait to get this back on my nightstand, and I hope you'll try it out too!

    price: $14.50

Let me know what you think, friends!
Best of luck on your beauty finds!
